When Is The Best Time Of Day To Pay Bills?
Perhaps you are well organised financially. You know the exact dates you will pay your bills. You’re good to go. But have you considered the time of day to pay your bills?
Paying your bills at certain times of day can save you when it comes to avoiding late fees. Banks may have cut off times, in which you can’t pay money into your account. These times can start from as early as 3:30pm. So if you are planning to pay your bills on the last day, it’s usually has to be before mid-night to avoid additional charges.
Certain credit card providers also have cut off times for same day payment. Capital One has a cut off of 5.30pm and Santander at 6pm.
It’s always best to check with your bank. If you leave it to the last minute make sure know when the last minute actually is.
