  • What Do Business Transfer Agents Do?

Also known as commercial estate agents, business transfer agents offer help and advice when a business is looking to expand or reduce the size of their current business. They offer services in the process of buying and selling businesses and will seek the best possible price in both regards.

If you are selling a business the agent will be responsible for all promotion and marketing that needs to be done. They will often produce a prospectus of the business as well as any other items that are included with the sale. A successful business transfer agent will have a wealth of contacts that they can refer businesses to, increasing the amount of prospective buyers and the competition for the sale of a business. All of which help to get the best price possible during the sale.

A business transfer agent will perform all communication with the clients, will set a price on how much he or she thinks that the business is worth as well as how much it should be advertised for.

  • When Is The Best Time Of Day To Pay Bills?

Perhaps you are well organised financially. You know the exact dates you will pay your bills. You’re good to go. But have you considered the time of day to pay your bills?

Paying your bills at certain times of day can save you when it comes to avoiding late fees. Banks may have cut off times, in which you can’t pay money into your account. These times can start from as early as 3:30pm. So if you are planning to pay your bills on the last day, it’s usually has to be before mid-night to avoid additional charges.

Certain credit card providers also have cut off times for same day payment. Capital One has a cut off of 5.30pm and Santander at 6pm.

It’s always best to check with your bank. If you leave it to the last minute make sure know when the last minute actually is.
